Historic c1870 George Fincham Organ to be Returned to its Original Home

After many years in private ownership, the historic c1870 George Fincham organ, originally installed in the St Kilda Congregational Church in 1885, is to be returned to its original home.  Hargraves Organs has won the contract to undertake a full historic restoration of the organ, and will install the instrument in the building which is now the parish of the Trinity-St. Nicholas Russian Catholic Church, East St Kilda. The church building was divided in c1940s to incorporate a new church hall, and the organ will be housed in this area, now a performance space.

The organ will retain its original specifications:
I manual; 6 speaking stops; I coupler; Tracker action
Man 8.8, divided 4.4.2
Ped 16 permanently on
